Raymond William Bishop, son of
Martha Luemma (McCarty) Bishop,
was a long time resident of Sweetwater, Texas,
where he served as a county commissioner and tax assessor collector.

Luemma was the daughter
of Jacob McCarty (1834-1883) and Nancy Elizabeth (Myers) McCarty (1838-1918).
